All are welcome to participate in the activities of Zion UCC in Newburgh Indiana. Volunteers are also welcome as are suggestions for additional activities.

• Choir - There is no audition procedure for joining our choir. Check our calendar for rehearsal times and join us!
• The Prayer Ministry (Mondays from 6:30-7:30pm - all adults welcome) is a group of individuals who meet weekly to pray for the needs of our members, friends, families community and world. Prayer requests can be dropped in the box in the sanctuary. All information is kept strictly confidential.

Girls Night Out

Who? All Zion ladies and their friends over the age of a high school graduate (no children).

What? A night out for fun and fellowship with other Christian ladies.

When? Third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Where? Zion Church, Newburgh in fellowship hall.

June 18: Martha Custis will share information about breast cancer awareness. Bingo at the close of the presentation.

July 16: Recipe Exchange. Bring your favorite recipe to share with the rest of the group. Recipe only – no need to bring the dish. Please bring your recipe on an index or recipe card so we can copy it to share with the other ladies.

August 20: Board game and card game night. Bring your favorite board game or card game to play with others.

September 17: Meet at church and go out to dinner together. Details later depending on the size of our group.

October 15: Lynda Lance will share her family’s experience living in China.

November 19: Craft night. Bring whatever craft you are working on and spend the evening working on your project. If you don’t craft, just come and visit.

December 17: Ornament exchange. Bring a $5 to $8 ornament to exchange with someone else. Dessert and fellowship.

If you desire snacks or drinks, please bring your own. We are attempting to make this group fun and easy to participate. It will not require preparation and planning on anyone once we get it started. • Brooklawn Child & Family Services provides comprehensive care, treatment and education, restoring hope to emotionally troubled children and families.
• Christian Motorcycle Association - The basic purpose of a CMA Chapter is to support the National CMA effort of sharing and showing the love of Jesus Christ to motorcyclists, and supporting the overall ministry of CMA. Click here for photos from our recent fellowship with this fine group.
• The Good Samaritan Home is a not-for-profit health care ministry affiliated with the United Church of Christ. Their mission is to provide a caring community for the frail and elderly through an atmosphere of Christian love and concern.
• Love Packages is a ministry aimed at putting Christian literature and Bibles into the hands of people around the world.
• Newburgh Area Food Pantry is an outreach ministry started in the 1970s. It is staffed from several area churches and is supported financially by many others.
• Newburgh Senior Center provides a place for seniors to enjoy camaraderie, nutritious meals, education, outreach services, entertainment and adventure.
• Nicaragua Missionaries - Zion helps to support missionaries Mike and Lauren Diebert in Nicaragua.
• United Caring Shelter serves the needy and homeless with dignity and respect while providing meals, clothing and shelter.

• First Response Trailer - Recently a trailer was purchased to allow Zion to more effectively help those who have been affected by disaster. Eventually, we hope this can be a First Response Trailer. This would allow Zion volunteers to go into a disaster area immediately and help in clearing trees and limbs and assist families to secure their homes and to provide a safe environment. We will use the trailer in annually scheduled mission trips as well.
• Helping Hand Fund - Emergency financial help is provided within and outside Zion UCC.
